White County boys and girls soccer teams had a good night last night. The girls blew out Pickens County 7 to 2; while the boys held on to win a close match by a final of 1 to 0. Both teams are in action tonight at home versus Franklin County. The girls’ game starts a 5:30 followed by the boys at 7 o’clock.

White County High School has its first ever-individual state-wrestling champion. Caleb Morris defeated Mason Mitcham of Carrolton by a 5-4 decision to win the state title. Morris won the 125-pound weight class and is the first ever Warrior to win a state championship. Morris was so close last year, but fell in the state finals.
Tyler Hamilton was upset in his bid to win state. The number one overall seed still had a strong fourth place finish in the 285-pouind weight class, helping to give White County an overall fourteenth place finish.
Also making it to state from White County was Brad McDougald, Alexander Jenkins, and Seth Lee.

The White County High School boys’ basketball season came to an end last night as they fell to West Hall 64 to 46. The Warriors were never able to slow down Shunquez Stevens as he scored a game high 25 points. The Spartans advance to play Gainesville tomorrow night at 7:30 at Gainesville. The Warriors were lead by Ashley Lowery who scored 14 points and Luke Crumley who scored 13. The Warriors finished the season with an 11 and 13 record.
